About Nashville Tent & Awning Co.
In 1884, Southern Canvas, a small business specializing in the manufacture of tents, awnings, tarps, and other canvas products, was founded to serve Nashville and its surrounding areas. It was later renamed Nashville Tent & Awning Co. by owner H.G. Husband and is now owned and operated by the fourth generation of the Husband family. Over the years, Nashville Tent & Awning Co. has expanded beyond the Nashville area, serving customers across the East Coast, West Coast, and as far north as Canada and as far south as the Caribbean. Our dedication to superior craftsmanship and the steadfast work ethic of our workers — many of whom have been with us for 10, 20, 30 and even 40+ years and are like family — have kept the company thriving for over 140 years. Our customers are part of this family, too, and we hope to be serving those same customers and their families for many years to come.
