Nassau Guidance and Counseling is a privately owned psychotherapy practice with 36 convenient locations throughout Long Island, New York, serving Nassau and Suffolk counties. Since 1960, our highly skilled Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSWs), Licensed Clinical Psychologists (PhDs), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists (LMFTs), and Licensed Mental Health Counselors (LMHCs) – all of whom have at least 10 years of post-license experience - have helped thousands of Long Island residents manage better through life's challenges. Kathleen Dwyer Blair, L.C.S.W., B.C.D, Director/Owner of Nassau Guidance and Counseling, who has 30+ years of clinical experience, has acted in this capacity for over 19 years. Kathleen oversees and facilitates all key processes and is personally responsible for ensuring that, based on their needs, our clients are matched to the very best therapists. Kathleen also provides individual therapy to those experiencing grief, trauma, relationship issues, and affective disorders. She takes great satisfaction in working as a partner in her clients' healing. She considers herself a holistic practitioner, working from the body/mind/spirit perspective.
