About Nassau Humane Society

The Nassau Humane Society (NHS) is a no-kill, 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization located in Fernandina Beach, Florida. NHS proudly rescues cats and dogs from overcrowded kill-shelters to avoid unnecessary euthanasia, disaster and emergency relief situations, and we routinely take in strays and surrenders to aid our community. NHS provides these animals with necessary medical care and socialization to prepare them for their forever homes. We also offer volunteer and foster programs, a community food bank, and more. NHS relies on community support. Please support today.
