The National Center for Infectious Diseases (NCID), operating under the governance of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Armenia, is the country’s leading specialized institution for the diagnosis, treatment, and management of infectious diseases. As a key pillar of Armenia’s healthcare system, NCID provides advanced inpatient and outpatient care, laboratory diagnostics, and specialized services for a wide range of infectious conditions. NCID plays a vital role in supporting national infection control programs, ensuring access to high-quality medical services, and serving as a referral center for complex infectious disease cases. In addition to patient care, the Center contributes to professional training, research, and knowledge-sharing in collaboration with local and international partners. Through its work, NCID upholds the Ministry of Health’s mission to strengthen Armenia’s capacity in infectious disease prevention, clinical care, and public health protection, while fostering partnerships with global health organizations to promote innovation and best practices.
