NIGEB is a leading research institute in Iran that conducts cutting-edge research and education in various fields of biotechnology, such as agricultural, medical, industrial, and environmental biotechnology. Founded in 1989, NIGEB has three sub-institutes and nine departments, each dedicated to a highly innovative and pioneering investigation. NIGEB also provides specialized services, organizes symposiums and workshops, publishes scientific journals and books, and trains postgraduate students.
