About Neighborhoods United SF

NUSF is a coalition of neighborhood, business, and civic organizations opposing extreme upzoning in San Francisco. We urge the city to pursue a community-centered, balanced approach to meeting the state’s housing mandate without compromising neighborhood identity or livability. Mission: Partnering with communities to promote equitable growth, protect resources, ensure public input, and prevent displacement. Values: San Francisco’s strength lies in its people, cultures, and neighborhoods. Growth should support, not undermine, these communities. True city-building goes beyond housing units—it requires investment in infrastructure, small businesses, the environment, and quality of life. NUSF Supports: - Contextual housing growth that fits existing neighborhoods. - Enforceable height limits to protect community character. - Density decontrol without unnecessary height increases. - A realistic affordable housing plan from SF Planning. - Preserving historic structures and districts. - A thorough impact assessment of rapid population growth on infrastructure and the environment.
