About NEONS

NEONS is an LGBT+ movement based in Latvia, dedicated to strengthening visibility, acceptance, and inclusion of Bi+ people and their allies. Founded as a grassroots initiative, we have grown into a vibrant, creative, and collaborative community where diversity is celebrated, and everyone is welcome. 🌸 What we do Visibility: We create projects, campaigns, and cultural events that bring Bi+ lives, stories, and experiences into the spotlight - from exhibitions and performances to podcasts, discussions, and Pride activities. Community: We provide a safe, supportive space for people across the Bi+ spectrum and beyond. NEONS encourages dialogue, friendship, and solidarity, helping individuals feel at home in their identity. Advocacy & Education: We promote critical thinking and evidence-based knowledge around LGBT+ issues, highlighting challenges faced by Bi+ people such as erasure, stereotypes, and mental health concerns. Creativity: Through art, music, storytelling, and innovative projects, we show how culture can be a powerful tool for change and understanding. 🫟 Our values We believe in compassion, inclusion, authenticity, and empowerment. We know that acceptance of others begins with acceptance of ourselves. That’s why NEONS embraces not only diversity of identities, but also diversity of voices, perspectives, and talents. 💙 Why it matters Bi+ people make up nearly half of the LGBT+ community worldwide, yet often remain invisible in both mainstream and LGBT+ spaces.
