About New Jersey Highlands Coalition

The New Jersey Highlands Coalition represents a diverse network of over 120 member organizations working towards a single common goal: to protect, enhance and promote the vital water and other natural and cultural resources of the New Jersey Highlands. The New Jersey Highlands spans 860,000 acres across 88 municipalities in seven northwest New Jersey counties. Despite comprising only 15% of the state's land area, headwaters, aquifers and reservoirs in the Highlands provide over 70% of New Jersey residents with clean, affordable drinking water.
