About Next Step Dental Consulting by Kathy Ells

A dental practice transition is often the most significant financial and emotional transaction of a dentist’s career. Yet, many owners approach it without a clear road map, leaving money and peace of mind on the table. I specialize in navigating the intricacies of dental practice ownership transitions. With over 25 years in dental financing, I’ve seen the industry through every economic cycle imaginable. I don't just provide advice; I provide a high-level strategy to ensure that when you move into—or out of—a practice, the transition is seamless, profitable, and aligned with your long-term goals. Deep Financial Roots: Decades of experience with major financial institutions, providing me with an "insider’s view" of lending and capital. Market Readiness: I help you prepare for the marketplace so you aren't just a buyer, but prepared to go into practice ownership when the right opportunity presents itself. Entrepreneurial: Are you thinking of starting your own practice? A dental practice requires more than clinical expertise; we ensure that every decision, vendor, timeline, and investment aligns with the practices long term strategy. End-to-End Partnership: My role doesn't end at the handshake. I provide the post-closing suite of financial and management solutions needed to turn a new acquisition into a thriving legacy. I believe a successful transition is built on meticulous planning and human connection. Whether you are embarking on your first practice or preparing to hand over the keys to your life's work, I ensure the "business side" is handled with the same precision you give your patients.
