About Nextstar Training College Pty Ltd

Around Australia there are many people with the desire and financial ability to own their own home, one built for them by skilled builders with a passion for what they do but in many areas of Australia they are hard to find. Nextstar Training College is the vehicle to deliver a vision of reinvigorating traditional building trades such as carpentry and brick and block work. It is a vision arising from industry. The owners and Directors of Nextstar have many years’ experience in and around the building industry in Australia and overseas. Today they find their business, and others like them, are struggling to find trades people with the skills, experience and passion needed in the industry. Traditional building skills are not attracting the numbers of younger Australians into the industry and the workforce is aging. With its international connections, Nextstar is looking to widen the training pool to include international students interested in a path to migration and skilled work in Australia; people who are prepared to work hard to learn new skills, employ them and help keep traditional craftsmanship alive. Nextstar Training College will provide quality Australian education and skills development in an environment of international understanding to both international and domestic students. The organisation also recognises the significant value that a blended domestic and international perspective brings to education and training for stakeholders whilst acknowledging the many challenges that may also be faced by its students who study an Australian qualification. While the initial focus will be on the building trades, in the future the College may consider expanding their scope to offer training in other supporting areas such as leadership and management and business administration.
