About Ngaa Pou Hauora oo Taamaki Makaurau

As an Iwi Māori Partnership Board, Ngaa Pou Hauora is responsible for: - Engaging with whānau and hapū about local health needs, and communicating the results and insights from that engagement to Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora; - Evaluating the current state of hauora Māori in the relevant locality for the purpose of determining priorities for improving hauora Māori; working with Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora in developing priorities for improving hauora Māori; - Monitoring the performance of the health sector in a relevant locality; engaging with Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora and supporting its stewardship of hauora Māori and its priorities for kaupapa Maaori investment and innovation; - Reporting on the hauora Māori activities of Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora to Māori within the area covered by the Iwi Maaori Partnership Board.
