About NGAS (National Grief Advice Service)
The death of a person, particularly someone very close, is one of the most traumatic and challenging experiences we can face. Sadly, death is part of life and something which everyone will have to deal with at some point. The aim of the National Bereavement Advice Service is to provide practical support and advice when it is most needed - from the first moments after a death, through the necessary but difficult legal and financial processes which follow and on to the grieving journey. We have developed a series of guides which are easy to follow and designed to help you find the information and advice you need. In addition, we have a specialist team who can guide you to the most appropriate support for your individual circumstances.
