About NGO Lingua Fortuna

Lingua Fortuna is a non-profit organization based in Chimay, Belgium, with activities extending across the country and internationally. We are dedicated to promoting intercultural dialogue, inclusive education, and active citizenship through non-formal learning. We believe in the power of language, creativity, and collaboration to build bridges between people from diverse backgrounds. Our mission is to empower people and youth workers by providing opportunities for international mobility, personal development, and social engagement. Through Erasmus+ projects, workshops, and community initiatives, Lingua Fortuna fosters empathy, critical thinking, and a strong commitment to democratic values. Historically, we have worked closely with Ukrainian youngsters displaced due to Russian aggression, and this focus has given our work an even deeper dimension. We primarily engage with young people with fewer opportunities, yet we remain open and welcoming to everyone, regardless of their background. While rooted in Chimay, our work reaches communities throughout Belgium and beyond, reflecting our commitment to sustainability, human rights, and the creation of safe, welcoming spaces where everyone can express themselves freely and grow together.
