NHEV is an Ease of Doing Business pilot project adopted by the Government of India to advance electric mobility and build a robust EV infrastructure network across the country. The initiative focuses on developing Green & Electric Highways, enabling sustainable transport, and accelerating the decarbonization of India’s mobility ecosystem. NHEV is driving a national rollout across 5,000 km of Bharatmala and Sagarmala corridors through a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) mode by 2027.
