About Nigerian Armed Forces Resettlement Centre

The Nigerian Armed Forces Resettlement Centre (NAFRC) is a Federal Government training institution established in 1945 to support the rehabilitation and reintegration of military personnel into civilian life. Originally founded as a Vocational Resettlement Centre under the British Colonial Government for World War II veterans, NAFRC has evolved into Nigeria’s premier resettlement institution dedicated to preparing retiring and retired members of the Armed Forces for productive, self-reliant post-service careers. Guided by a steadfast vision to be a world-class training institution and a mission to deliver high-quality vocational and entrepreneurial training, NAFRC equips trainees with practical skills across disciplines such as agriculture, ICT, automotive mechanics, electrical works, fashion and design, management and more, all tailored to the challenges of civilian life after military service. Structured under the leadership of a Commandant and supported by specialized directorates, NAFRC works collaboratively with government agencies, private sector partners and development institutions to ensure its programmes foster independence, economic empowerment and meaningful community contribution among beneficiaries. Today, NAFRC stands as a cornerstone of Nigeria’s post-service transition framework, transforming service into sustainable success for personnel and strengthening national human capital.
