NIPPON SHARYO, LTD. has four business segments. The Railway Cars segment manufactures and sells trains, diesel railcars, passenger cars, linear motor cars. The Transportation Equipment and Steel Structure segment manufactures and sells freight cars, locomotives, tanker lorries, tank trailers, containers and automated guide-way transit systems, as well as manufactures, constructs and sells highway bridges, railway bridges and sluices. The Construction Equipment segment is engaged in the manufacture and sale of piling machines, crawler cranes and diesel generator sets and others, as well as the sale and repair of construction machinery. The Others segment manufactures and sells vehicle inspection and repair facilities, linear-related facilities, agricultural plants and paper making-related equipment. As of March 31, 2014, the Company had eight subsidiaries and five associated companies.
