About No Dream Deferred NOLA

NDD Mission No Dream Deferred creates theatre programming that maximizes cultural relevance for our New Orleans audience. Guides to our mission: 1. We work to amplify the voice of historically marginalized playwrights. 2. We empower theatre makers of color in the city of New Orleans and beyond. 3. Our approach to theatre-making is equitable in its visioning, design, and implementation. Our vision is to employ a revolutionary approach to art making in our city, for our communities, and in doing so create theatre that is anchored to place. We, through our programming and activism, are building a future where art leaders of color and stories about people of color are not the exceptions but the norm.
