About North American Mattress Upcycling

North American Mattress Upcycling is the foundation of a fully integrated system for the responsible removal and upcycling of mattresses and box springs. With our manufacturing arm, Chicago Mattress Company and Varsity Green, our company serving universities, camps and other dormitory customers, we are disrupting the environmentally harmful practices that characterize the disposal of approximately 20 million mattresses each year. Instead of burdening landfills with bulky, toxic mattress waste materials, we instead use state-of-the-art health, safety and environmental practices to create an upcycled mattress. We save more than 90 percent of bedding materials from ever reaching landfills while providing comfortable, affordable, high-quality mattresses and box springs to consumers. We report back to our customers the volume of material saved from landfills, using fully transparent Sustainable Accounting Standards Board (SASB) procedures.
