About North Barker Ecosystem Services

North Barker is a Hobart-based company providing specialist ecological and natural values consulting services within Tasmania, as well as offshore environments within Commonwealth waters. Servicing both the public and private sectors, our projects inform a diverse range of developments, including renewables (wind, solar, water, hydrogen), urban and rural subdivision and development (e.g. single dwellings or associated works, sheds, etc.), infrastructure (wind, road, rail, water, electricity transmission), tourism, forestry, and agriculture (including clearance and conversion, irrigation, and dam works permits). We also undertake bushfire hazard management planning, GIS & remote sensing, conservation-focused research, biodiversity management and monitoring (including in relation to conditions of approval and construction protocols), and have part of the business dedicated full-time to weed and land management and monitoring. With industry-leading knowledge of Tasmanian ecology and development approval processes, our skilled, suitably qualified and experienced ecological professionals are highly respected by authorities for credibility and transparency, and valued by clients for responsiveness, reliability and value for money. North Barker commit to our process of quality, integrity and sustainability on every deliverable and every client interaction, big or small, ensuring that we consistently achieve the best outcomes for all parties.
