About North Carolina Blockchain + AI Initiative

The North Carolina Blockchain + AI Initiative (NCB+AI) is a 501(c)(6) advocacy organization with a single mission: make North Carolina the #1 state for blockchain and AI. Our roots go back to 2019, when Lieutenant Governor Dan Forest established the NC Blockchain Initiative task force — one of the first efforts by a state government to seriously examine blockchain technology and its economic potential. That early groundwork laid the foundation for what NCB+AI is today. The blockchain and AI space has historically been fragmented, with companies and stakeholders pursuing separate agendas — slowing both industry growth and meaningful legislation. NCB+AI was built to change that. We unite the industry around a common voice, connecting companies, innovators, and policymakers to drive the smart, forward-looking policy that North Carolina's emerging tech sector deserves.
