About North Carolina Football Club

North Carolina Football Club is comprised of two professional soccer teams: North Carolina FC and North Carolina Courage. Our star symbolizes the unity between both teams and the long-term vision for soccer in North Carolina. On December 6, 2016, team owner Steve Malik ushered in The New State of Soccer by announcing North Carolina Football Club and rebanding our men's team (formerly Carolina RailHawks) to North Carolina FC. History was made yet again on January 9, 2017 when North Carolina Football Club announced it had acquired the rights to National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) 2016 Champion Western New York Flash and renamed the team North Carolina Courage.
