Northern Innovation and Empowerment Hub (NIEHUB) jobs and careers

About Northern Innovation and Empowerment Hub (NIEHUB)

Our core mission is to support and empower marginalized youth, girls, and women in the Northern Kenyan regions of Garissa, Wajir, and Mandera. We do this through a multifaceted approach encompassing ICT skills development, social entrepreneurship, mentorship, and comprehensive career and job training. Access to Information and Communication Technology (ICT) infrastructure and services in Northern Kenya is among the lowest in the country. NieHub endeavors to bridge this gap by providing an accessible platform for community empowerment. With the changing employment landscape influenced by globalization and innovation, NieHub was conceived as an innovation hub tailored for youth, girls, and women in the region. Our initiatives include: ● Digital Literacy Program: Equipping individuals with skills in web and app development, computer science, network engineering, and programming. ● Entrepreneurship Incubator: Nurturing innovative ideas and providing mentorship, business support, and access to resources. ● Mentorship: Fostering mentor-mentee relationships, empowering the youth with life skills, academic support, and career guidance. ● Research and Development: Identifying and addressing developmental challenges in education, economics, health, security, and the environment.
