About Oakademy

Oakademy is a social innovation initiative committed to bridging the digital divide by making Artificial Intelligence (AI) education inclusive, community-driven, and environmentally aware. We believe the future of technology must be shaped by everyone - especially those who’ve been left out of it for too long. Our mission is to equip underrepresented rural youth with simplified, accessible AI literacy - not just to help them adapt to a digital world, but to empower them to shape it. By rooting technology in local languages, relatable contexts, and real community problems, we turn passive learners into changemakers and consumers into creators. We also champion sustainable AI practices by raising awareness of the environmental impact of digital technologies, and promote the idea that context-rich, community-contributed data leads to better, more energy-efficient AI systems. At Oakademy, we don’t just teach technology - we reimagine who gets to define it. Join us as we decode inclusivity and unlock the potential of minds from the most unexpected corners of the world.
