About Occupational Health Society of Australia

About the Occupational Health Society of Australia Established in 1968 and incorporated in 1978, the Occupational Health Society of Australia Inc. (OHSA) is a not-for-profit professional association committed to advancing excellence in occupational health and safety across Australia. For more than four decades, the Society has brought together professionals from diverse disciplines, including occupational hygienists, safety practitioners, occupational physicians, regulators, academics, students and industry leaders who share a common goal of improving workplace health outcomes. OHSA was founded on the belief that meaningful progress in occupational health is achieved when knowledge, experience and perspectives are shared across professions and industries. Today, the Society continues to provide a respected forum for professionals to connect, exchange ideas and stay informed about emerging issues, innovations and best practices in workplace health and safety. Through regular professional development events, expert presentations and industry discussions, OHSA provides valuable opportunities for members to expand their knowledge, strengthen professional networks and remain engaged with developments in the field. The Society also publishes its quarterly publication, "The Monitor", sharing insights on occupational health developments and issues affecting workplaces locally, nationally and internationally. OHSA also contributes independent professional insight to government and industry on matters relating to occupational health and safety legislation and policy, supporting informed dialogue and evidence-based improvements to workplace health and safety practices. Whether you are an experienced practitioner, emerging professional, student or industry stakeholder, we warmly invite you to join the OHSA community to connect with peers, grow your knowledge and contribute to advancing healthier, safer workplaces.
