OKUWA CO., LTD. is a Japan-based company that operates its business under two segments. The Retail segment is engaged in the operation of supermarkets, as well as the sale of books and others. The Others segment is engaged in the sale of books, the provision of rental services for video tapes, compact discs (CDs) and digital versatile discs (DVDs), the operation of sports clubs, movie theaters and bowling allies in the Company's shopping centers, the operation of family restaurants, crab restaurants, sushi restaurants, cleaning chain stores and hotels, as well as the provision of vegetables and fruits, among others. As of February 20, 2014, the Company had eight subsidiaries and one associated company.
