Located in the heart of Taunton, Massachusetts, the museum resides in the historic Bristol Academy building—an Italianate structure designed by renowned architect Richard Upjohn in 1852 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places. OCHM is dedicated to collecting, preserving, and interpreting the rich history of southeastern Massachusetts, an area once known as the Old Colony.
