About Old Fitz Theatre

Welcome to the Old Fitz Theatre - Australia’s only remaining pub theatre, located in the basement of Woolloomooloo’s beloved 150-year-old Old Fitzroy Hotel. Over the past 26 years, this unique 55-seat space has become the leading NSW venue incubator for daring, bold, and innovative independent work, and has been the home to over 100 Australian Premieres of timely international works, new Australian works, and landmark revivals. Balancing the intimate and the epic, the Old Fitz provides inclusive, accessible platforms for new work and new artists, and a home for industry heavyweights to return to for an experience unlike anything else Sydney offers, all whilst ensuring a safe space for all kinds of artistic expression.
