About Olympias Music Foundation
Olympias Music Foundation is an award-winning music charity based in Manchester. We are dedicated to supporting young people experiencing low income to flourish, by providing a high-quality and free music education for as long as they want to learn. Through the Olympias model developed over ten years, we are transforming how music education is experienced in the UK. Since 2015, we have delivered over 42,000 free music lessons to young people experiencing low income in Manchester, and more than 600 young people have taken part in our projects. We’re proud to have received a number of regional and national awards for our work, including the Manchester Culture Award 2025 (Our Planet: Acting on Climate Change); Music and Drama Education Award 2024 (Outstanding Musical Initiative Prize ); the King's Award for Voluntary Service 2023; Winner Be Proud Awards 2019 (Creativity in the Community), Manchester Culture Award 2018 (Promotion of Equality and Diversity Prize) and a Community Integration Award 2017 (Grassroots Champion Award).
