About On The Verge UK CIC

On the Verge is an organisation focused on the well-being of children and young people through early intervention and preventative measures. Our mission is to identify and address potential challenges before they escalate, providing direct support to children while also training parents, carers, and professionals. This holistic approach ensures a community-wide effort to safeguard and empower young people. The organisation’s proactive strategy emphasises early identification of issues like emotional distress or exposure to harmful environments. By intervening early, On the Verge helps vulnerable children avoid negative paths, such as gang involvement or exploitation, offering them positive alternatives and reinforcing their self-worth. Training provided by On the Verge equips parents, carers, and professionals with the tools to create nurturing environments and support children and young people effectively. A key feature of our approach is the involvement of trained professionals with lived experience in the criminal justice system, whose personal stories resonate with at-risk youth, offering them hope and inspiration. On the Verge also empowers young people by teaching critical thinking and risk assessment skills, helping them make informed decisions and navigate life’s challenges. Through this comprehensive approach, On the Verge significantly impacts the lives of young people, guiding them toward positive futures and stronger communities.
