About Oral Health Africa Initiative

Oral Health Africa Initiative (OHAI) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing oral health equity across Africa through advocacy, education, and community outreach. We believe that oral health is a fundamental part of overall health and human dignity. Our programs focus on: • Delivering community-based oral health education and preventive care. • Empowering young professionals and students to champion oral health advocacy. • Building cross-border partnerships that strengthen regional health systems. Since our founding, OHAI has reached over 10,000 children, youths, men and women through outreach and educational programs, and recently partnered with Friends of Nixon Memorial Hospital in Sierra Leone to provide free urgent dental care for communities affected by a life-threatening oral infection.
