About Orchestre symphonique des jeunes de Montréal

For nearly 50 years, the OSJM has offered a pedagogical framework that helps develop the talent of young musicians aged 13 to 24 and provides them with concert opportunities that make them shine. Founded in 1976 by Sandra Wilson CM, L.Mus., the Orchestra has contributed to the musical training of nearly 2,500 musicians. Many of these young talents have gone on to solo careers or to play with professional orchestras, including the Orchestre Symphonique de Montréal, the Orchestre Métropolitain, Les Violons du Roy, and other orchestras elsewhere in Canada, the United States, Europe and Asia. The OSJM is conducted by Maestro Louis Lavigueur, C.Q.
