About oriGIn, the Organization for an international Geographical Indications network

Welcome to oriGIn, the global alliance of GIs representing some 600 groups (over two million producers) and other GI-related Institutions from 40 countries. oriGIn advocates for a more effective legal protection of GIs at the national, regional and international level, through campaigns aimed at decision-makers, the media and the public at large, and promotes the benefits of GIs as a tool for sustainable development for local producers and communities.
