About OUR OWN ENGLISH HIGH SCHOOL SHARJAH GIRLS

Established in 1982, GEMS Our Own English High School, Sharjah – Girls has spent over four decades defining the standard for excellence in the Northern Emirates. From its modest beginnings, the school has undergone a metamorphic change, evolving into a vibrant, pulsating campus that serves as a "second home" for a massive community of young women striving for success and personal growth. Affiliated with the CBSE (New Delhi, India), we offer a robust academic program designed to realize every student's true potential. While the school began as a mixed-gender facility, it has evolved into a premier all-girls environment from the primary years through to Grade 12. This focused setting allows our students to emerge as confident leaders, consistently securing top national positions and UAE-wide accolades in their board examinations. Recently recognized as ‘Very Good’ by SPEA, we pride ourselves on a culture where excellence is a habit. Our holistic approach, anchored by the PULSE (Personal and Universal Life Skills Education) programme, balances rigorous Science, Commerce, and Humanities streams with award-winning initiatives in environmental sustainability, sports, and the arts. By fostering integrity and a global outlook, we mould our students into resilient, high-achieving young adults who are prepared to shine in top global universities and lead with compassion.
