About OUT North East

OUT North East is a charity dedicated to supporting and strengthening LGBTQ+ communities across the North East. We work to create connection, visibility, and opportunity, ensuring LGBTQ+ people feel supported, heard, and able to thrive. Our work spans outreach, projects, campaigns, and events focused on health, equality, diversity, and inclusion. We provide advocacy and signposting, create networks, and deliver community-led initiatives that respond to real needs and lived experiences. At the heart of everything we do is a commitment to building strong, inclusive communities where people can be themselves and feel they belong. We are proudly based at the ONE Centre, the region’s dedicated LGBTQ+ community centre. The ONE Centre is a place to meet, grow, learn, and develop, offering safe and supportive spaces for individuals, groups, and partners to connect and access support. We also deliver Pride Radio, our LGBTQ+ community radio station. Pride Radio connects communities through our voices, stories, and culture, amplifying LGBTQ+ experiences and celebrating the diversity of our region. We work in partnership with individuals, organisations, and allies who share our commitment to inclusion, and we are always open to collaborations that strengthen communities and advance equality across the North East.
