About Outside Assembly

WHEN GREAT MINDS COME TOGETHER, ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE. Outside Assembly is a team of Industrial Designers who thrive on collaborative problem solving. Working alongside the project team, they develop innovative solutions that enhance the places where people come together - the built environment. GUARDIANS OF YOUR VISION. Outside Assembly is led by founders Surya Graf and Forrest Gillham. Award winning Australian designers who have been working within the urban design / street design landscape for 20+ years. We understand the importance of ego-free collaboration across the entire project lifespan from design to delivery. As Industrial Designers we enjoy the creative experience of working closely with a project team to explore new ideas for innovative custom solutions that elevate the end-user experience. OUR INVOLVEMENT, TAILORED TO YOUR SPECIFIC NEEDS. Whether it’s customising one of our existing collections or creating a completely new design, our involvement can be tailored to your specific needs. We are humble team players who collaborate with everyone involved in the project. Our experience in urban design and working with established Landscape Architects allows us to offer end-to-end assistance across an entire project. As project managers, we specialise in collaborating with the project team across planning and design, through to manufacture and delivery. DESIGNERS, THINKERS, COLLABORATORS. Creativity is simply putting things together in a unique way. And that’s what we do. Whether it’s our collaborative design process, local manufacture and supply, or people interacting in our built environments, we are all driven by one vision - Come Together.
