About Overaa Construction

Founded in 1907, Overaa is a 5th generation, family-owned and operated general contractor. Headquartered in the San Francisco Bay Area, with offices in Richmond and San Jose, Overaa conducts operations throughout Northern California. We serve diverse markets including commercial, industrial, education, water infrastructure, healthcare, energy, life science, transportation, aviation, and multi-unit housing. We are recognized as one of the Top Contractors and Top Environmental Firms by ENR and one the Top 20 Best Places to Work by San Francisco Business Times. Among large commercial general contractors, you'll find Overaa is a little different: 1) We specialize in collaborative delivery systems and are experts in design build, lease-leaseback and integrated project delivery. 70% of our work is collaborative delivery. 2) We are a self-performing builder. Our own skilled crews are capable of performing much of the critical path phases of a project including concrete and rough and finish carpentry. This hands-on craft expertise keeps us efficient and on the cutting edge. We log about 700,000 craft hours annually. 3) We serve diverse market sectors from green energy to water infrastructure to education. This keeps us sharp, agile and responsive to market fluctuations. 4) We are known for our family vibe, our commitment to our community, and the happiness and longevity of our employees - 12 years is the average tenure of employment.
