Based in Johnson City, Tennessee, Overlooked in Appalachia aspires to cover issues, events and topics that face regions of the Appalachian Highlands, the Blue Ridge Mountains and Greater Appalachia. Our growing team consists of student contributors and content producers who aim to tell stories from areas that may otherwise go untold, while amplifying unique perspectives that are often overlooked. This publication is housed in East Tennessee State University's Department of Media and Communication.
