About Overton

Overton is the world’s largest searchable policy and grey literature database. Find millions of documents from governments, IGOs, think tanks and NGOs and see what research, people and policy that they reference. Use our app as a research tool for policy discovery, a tracking tool to measure the real-world influence of your research and institutional impact, or as a policy engagement tool to learn how to connect and engage with decision makers. Overton’s data brings transparency to policymaking. Our data is organised into sophisticated taxonomies, making it easy to uncover documents and find the connections between them. With full text search and policy to policy citations, you get unparalleled insights into how evidence is used across the policy landscape, giving a fuller picture of how ideas and influence spread through different policy actors and sources.
