About Paisley Tours – Heritage & Experiences

Paisley Tours is a community-led social enterprise turning local heritage into opportunity for the people and businesses of Paisley. We believe tourism can strengthen identity, support the economy and build pride on the streets where history happened. Our work connects visitors, schools, community groups and the travel trade with real places and real stories. What we offer We provide professional walking tours and heritage experiences, including Historic Paisley, Paisley Witches and Paisley Architecture. We run a Children’s Treasure Hunt, Paisley Pattern Pete activities, a Corporate Treasure Hunt and the Paisley Pub Crawl. We also deliver an indoor projection-based tour for schools, care homes and accessibility needs, making heritage available in any season. Impact and delivery In our first months we welcomed more than a thousand people onto Paisley’s streets. We trained new tour guides, created paid storytelling roles, and developed partnerships with local businesses to drive spend directly into the town centre economy. We use FareHarbor booking software and have presented our products to UK travel agents and international buyers through VisitScotland. Community and inclusion Our Community Nights provide reduced-cost access, and our local discount scheme supports PA1–PA5 residents. We collect donated photographs, records and artefacts to build a living heritage archive and reference library. Looking ahead We are developing a Wallace Experience with heritage partners, strengthening cruise and coach links, and expanding school and corporate programmes. We are committed to sustainable growth, local employment and delivering experiences that help Paisley believe in its future as much as its past.
