About Pakistan Institute for Global Environmental Governance & Research

The Pakistan Institute for Global Environmental Governance & Research (PIGER) is an independent research-based and policy-oriented social welfare organization working to promote environmental governance, sustainability, and evidence-based policy solutions. Established with the recognition that climate change is one of the defining challenges of the 21st century, PIGER aims to serve as a hub for policy research, academic writing, environmental advocacy, social welfare and intellectual engagement on sustainability issues affecting Pakistan and the global community. The institute brings together researchers, scholars, policy practitioners, and young environmental researchers and activists to develop evidence-based policy recommendations, publish research, and foster informed public discourse on environmental governance. Through interdisciplinary research, publications, and collaborative initiatives, PIGER seeks to bridge the gap between academic research, policy development, and social welfare action.
