About Paloma De Crescenzo

Born in Mexico, Paloma de Crescenzo is a multidisciplinary designer and artist whose practice moves between architecture, interior design, and sculpture. Trained in sculpture under Mauricio Cortés and holding a BFA in Interior Architecture from Parsons School of Design in New York, she has always felt an undeniable need to create. "Creating is my language," she notes-whether through sculpting objects, sculpting furniture, or sculpting spaces. Her years in New York marked a profound turning point: a before and after, a new reality that reshaped her artistic vision. Influenced by masters such as Niki de Saint Phalle, Henri Matisse, Constantin Brancusi, Javier Senosiain, Gio Ponti, and Marc Chagall, her work reflects an ongoing dialogue between nature, literature, and form. She likes to think of her style as magical realism: playful, at times even childlike, and always revelatory of her inner world. Since 2021, she has collaborated with some of the world's most distinguished architects and designers, including ASH NYC, Martin Brudnizki, and Laura Gonzalez. Today, she leads her own interior architecture and design firm in Mexico, where she continues to cultivate projects that merge the structural rigor of architecture with the expressive tactility of it being sculptural. Alongside her practice, she is developing a furniture collection conceived as functional art—pieces that blur the line between object and sculpture. "I don't know how to explain where my ideas come from," she says. "I just know they keep me awake at night."
