About Pancho Stories

We use storytelling, art and creative outreach to support the education, emotional development and representation of children in care and under-represented communities — helping every child feel seen, heard, and valued. Our Origin Story Born from Love, Driven by Purpose Pancho Stories was born from a simple but profound realization: when children can't find their reality reflected in literature, they begin to believe their experiences don't matter. Founded by families who've walked the paths of adoption, surrogacy, and same-sex parenting, we understand firsthand the power of seeing yourself in a story. We know what it feels like to search bookstore shelves for characters that look like your family – and come up empty. Our Board's Lived Experience Our trustees bring authentic understanding through personal experiences of adoption, surrogacy, and same-sex parenting bringing their wisdom earned through real-life journeys, infused into every page we create.
