The Pater Noster Lighthouse has guided seafarers since 1868. For more than 100 years, lighthouse families lived and worked here, creating a miniature community and adapting their lives to the conditions of the island. Today, the lighthouse station is part of Sweden’s cultural heritage, and the lighthouse remains an iconic beacon of hope, guidance, and safety. In 2020, the historic lighthouse residence underwent a careful renovation and was transformed into an award-winning boutique hotel with nine individually designed rooms. Rooted in the island’s culture and fascinating history, we offer year-round conferences, corporate events, and experiences beyond the ordinary. Every meal is inspired by the resources of the sea and local ingredients from Sweden’s west coast - from fresh seafood and seaweed to produce grown in the restored lighthouse gardens. Sustainability is at the heart of everything we do, from restoration and operations to food and activities, with deep respect for the ocean, nature, and the local community.
