About Pentan Architects

Pentan Architects is an award-winning, design-led architectural practice based in Cardiff. Formed from a housing association background over 25 years ago, the practice specialises in high-quality, considered residential design with an emphasis on people, place, and the planet. Our work spans a range of small, medium, and large residential projects, including new-build schemes, retrofit and refurbishment, and conservations projects. Working predominantly across South and West Wales, we have established long-standing relationships with many housing associations and local authorities, house builders and developers, based on our continued delivery of exceptional services. In all that we do, we are focused on creating architecture of the highest quality: well-designed, energy-efficient, and sustainable buildings that meet our clients’ needs and enhance the built environment.

Founded in 1979 by Andrew Hole, Jim Dale, John Carter and Stephen Thwaites.
