People Engaged In Recovery (PEIR) is a non-profit, recovery community organization operating in the southern region of Alabama. Our mission is to advocate,empower, and collaborate for any individual seeking recovery from substance use disorder while providing access to optimal recovery support services. All of our services are completely free, confidential, and certified by the Alabama Department of Mental Health (ADMH). We understand that the journey to recovery is unique for each person and we want to ensure that anyone who reaches out to us feels safe, supported, and discovers that hope within our reach. Our team of Certified Recovery Support Specialists have walked in the shoes of the individuals that they serve and know, firsthand, the struggles and triumphs of active use and life in recovery. They are here to offer non-clinical, peer-support services that are rooted in empathy, guidance, and encouragement. We believe that everyone deserves someone who truly understands their journey and can provide the support they need to achieve and maintain recovery.
