About Phoenix Resource Association

Phoenix Resource Association (PRA) is a purpose-protected, Geneva-based non-profit building circular-industry campuses in Africa. We turn end-of-life aircraft and heavy industrial equipment into training, formal jobs and new circular value chains—safely, transparently and to recognised standards. Our model connects four parts that reinforce each other: 1) Circular Economy Centres (CECs) – practical, well-governed sites for responsible dismantling, depollution and materials recovery, delivering compliant industrial services and structured work experience. 2) Phoenix Institute for Circular Industries (PICI) – a live-in, hands-on training and entrepreneurship campus, designed to widen access for capable young people, including those with limited access to formal education, supported through partner and foundation mechanisms where needed. 3) Innovation Hub (with universities) – applied R&D and piloting of solutions for end-of-life composites and advanced materials, turning hard-to-recycle waste into new products, SMEs and local capability. 4) Clean power – solar-hybrid micro-grids that provide reliable energy for workshops, learning and productive use. By building decent work, integrity, traceability and skills pathways, we help communities move from informal survival activity to formal, safer employment and more stable local economies—so environmental responsibility becomes opportunity at scale.
