Piano Play Music Systems, Inc., also referred to as ‘the Company’ or ‘PPMS’ is a business that teaches its piano teaching methodology in the classroom and through its teaching materials. The success generated by these books has helped to make PPMS one of the largest Southern California privately owned music school. The Company has been in business since 1987, and is headquartered in Sherman Oaks, California with two other locations in Pasadena and Woodland Hills. Owner and Founder, Sharon Shaheed, BM, MM has developed the “Theory Based” methodology, and has written and designed the PPMS Books for teaching group piano classes to children as young as 19 months with parent or guardian participation. Ms. Shaheed’s goals are directed towards providing a quality, comprehensive teaching methodology and educational products that teach music skills to children in a fun and nurturing way. These goals are presently accomplished in a group setting with parent(s) or guardians participating in interactive classroom games, dancing, singing, keyboard playing, puppets and storytelling.
