About Pink Pickle Ball Event
The Pink Pickle Ball Tournament is a charity event located in Southern California that aims at raising fund for the Desert Cancer Foundation. Started in 2022, Dilen Kakar (Student of Palm Desert High School) and Fritz Hergenhan (Security Operations Consultant @ Wiz) were able to raise just over $6500 for the foundation. The tournament had nearly 25 teams and 70 in attendance at Mission Hills Country Club. Merchandise was designed and all proceeds went towards the DCF. Various sponsors committed to the cause and played a large role in the fundraising process. In 2023, Dilen and Fritz were determined to raise double of the previous year. Working with nearly 10 different sponsors and generating funds through multiple streams of income- merchandise, raffles, food and beverages- Now, in 2025, the Pink Pickleball Event has raised over $640,000 in cancer care for low income individuals of the community!
