About Placemakers Portugal

We are a new generation of organisation dedicated to the art of Placemaking, developing places for living to be experienced by visitors and communities alike. A local and international (UK) multidisciplinary team comprising skills in the various dimensions that make up the art of Placemaking. We operate in three key areas – Culture and Heritage, Tourism and Visitor Attractions and Urban Regeneration in historical areas. We believe that the planning and design of modern places has to show a radical change in the holistic thinking of space, the capacity to imagine the future and the levels of cooperation between disciplines as a response to the complexity of the tasks that are today needed in the creativity and management of sustainable places; creating Placemakers is our answer to these challenges. Imagining, creating and transforming places Somos uma nova geração de equipa dedicada à arte de Placemaking que desenvolve lugares para viver e serem vividos pelas comunidades e visitantes. Uma equipa multidisciplinar, local e internacional (UK), dotada de fortes competências nas várias dimensões que compõem a arte de “fazer lugares”. Operamos em três grandes áreas - Cultura e Património, Turismo e Lazer, Regeneração Urbana em Centros Históricos. Acreditamos que o desenho e o planeamento modernos de lugares têm que demonstrar uma mudança radical no pensamento holístico sobre o espaço, na capacidade de imaginar o futuro e nos níveis de cooperação entre disciplinas, pela complexidade das tarefas que se colocam hoje à criação e gestão dos espaços sustentáveis; e a criação da Placemakers é a nossa resposta a esses desafios.
