About Plant the Seed

We empower schools and businesses to build a greener future by turning waste into a catalyst for behaviour change, community connection, and circular systems. From infrastructure and training to ongoing support through our Zero Waste Toolkit (ZWT), we simplify recycling, help clients divert valuable resources from landfills, and integrate sustainability into their organisations. We have collaborated with small, B-BBEE waste collectors across South Africa to strengthen and decentralise the local waste economy while closing the loop. Since 2022, we have helped divert over 200,000 kg of recyclables and food waste, and trained more than 30,000 individuals. Ready to become a Zero Waste Champion?
